Are you wondering about exercise and how much you really need?  That totally depends on what you’re trying to do!  Read on for our best tips.

Maintain

According to the Mayo Clinic, the average adult needs to get 150 minutes of moderate, or 75 minutes of more strenuous aerobic exercise every week.  The good news?  You can spread this out (try 10 minutes, 3 times a day) OR bulk up (do a 90-minute session on a Saturday)!

Lose it

Trying to lose some extra, unwanted weight?  Consult your doctor first, but a general recommendation is to get 60 minutes of exercise, 5 times a week.  And sorry, housework doesn’t count for this one.  You’ll need to beef up the calorie burn and get moving.  Try a stationary bike or some laps at the pool.

Bulk up

Looking to add a little bulk to your core and muscles?  Men’s Fitness has a great guideline for doing just that.  Their recommendation is to spend at least 3 days lifting at the gym.  Read more here.
